SMARTIUM, combining scientific expertise with artificial intelligence for customized solutions
SMARTIUM, a trusted partner to transform your data into performance.
SMARTIUM is a bold start-up that pushes back the boundaries of physical measurement with innovative software solutions integrating artificial intelligence and Monte Carlo modeling.
SMARTIUM's mission is to protect people and the environment, while increasing the profitability and performance of equipment in the industrial, health and safety sectors.
Our Story
Born of a passion for the physical sciences and advanced technologies, SMARTIUM is a spin-off from a CNRS research laboratory in Strasbourg. Founded in 2021, the company was created in response to complex measurement issues and the need for greater precision and reliability in the data made available to users and decision-makers. Since its inception, the company has made a name for itself thanks to its expertise in physics and its unique approach combining data mining, numerical modeling and the development of advanced algorithms.

Our mission
SMARTIUM is committed to making data available and sometimes complex to exploit by our customers, into indicators at the service of reliability, accuracy and performance. We achieve this through our advanced understanding of complex physical phenomena, combined with our expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms, to offer predictive and scalable solutions to our customers' needs.
Values
Innovation
SMARTIUM constantly pushes the boundaries to offer solutions that break new ground.
Talent development
SMARTIUM believes in the importance of valuing skills and creating a stimulating environment for teams.
Profitability
SMARTIUM's aim is to guarantee measurable gains for customers while developing ever more ambitious projects.
The SMARTIUM team
Behind SMARTIUM is a multidisciplinary team with a shared vision. Experts include engineers, PhDs in physics - including one of the only French developers working on the Monte Carlo simulation tool widely used in nuclear physics - and data scientists specialized in complex data analysis, numerical modeling and AI algorithm development.

Our CSR contribution
SMARTIUM has developed variance reduction methods to optimize complex simulations and significantly reduce their energy impact. This approach is fully in line with our CSR approach, combining technological performance and environmental responsibility.

Monte Carlo simulations, used in particular to model physical phenomena, require considerable computing time and mobilize substantial IT resources.

Variance reduction methods have enabled us to speed up calculations and reduce algorithm training time from 6 to 2 months, while improving the accuracy and reliability of results. By drastically reducing the time required to use servers and IT equipment, we are helping to reduce the carbon footprint of AI, while guaranteeing top-level performance.
